Kami
Kami is a dance and ambient music performance that explores how culture is passed down—and how it erodes, shifts, or vanishes over time. The title, drawn from the Japanese word for both ancestral spirits and paper, reflects this duality: culture as something both sacred and fragile. Like paper, it carries memory, yet it wears thin through generations; like spirits, it lingers even in absence. Through movement and sound, we ask: how does culture survive across generations?
